In Guru, the password system is very straightforward:

1. Password are only applied to certain sensitive documents, such as exam papers, when you download documents from Guru
2. The password that will be used is your ‘Master Password’.
3. One password is used for all of your sensitive documents.
4. If you change this password, the old password versions will be kept by default
5. Your active password is always applied to all future documents

Setting your Password

To set your password, click on the small ‘Cog’ in the top right of every page and select ‘Download Settings’

This will bring you to the facility for setting your password details:

If you select to ‘Set/Change Password’, you can enter a password, confirmation and optional label.

Fill in your password - you will never need to share this password. It will only be used for documents that you download locally to your own computer. It should not be shared with administrators, external examiners or any other individuals.

All future sensitive documents such as exam papers will have this password applied upon download.
