By “Central” administrators we are referring to those individuals who have overarching responsibility for external examiners and potentially academic affairs within the institution. They have ultimate oversight on external examiner accounts and the processing of nominations for those external examiners. They often commonly have responsibility for oversight of the final report submissions as well as payment of external examiners.
